A while ago, I posted a link to a blog post called The 25 Things Writers Should Stop Doing over at Chuck Wendig's blog. If you missed it, HERE it is again. Anyways, since that post, I've been an avid follower of his blog Terrible Minds. You guys...this fellow can do no wrong in my book. He's crass and vulgar, witty and forthright. But most importantly... he is a total hard-ass. He doesn't give it to you soft or nicely. He tells it like it is when it comes to writing, procrastination and the likes. He's the Jillian Michaels of the writing world and I adore him. He's innovative and smart and he inspires me. Now, for some of you, he may not be up your alley because he is kind of a dick in the way that he doesn't believe in sugarcoating things. I for one, love that. Just like with weight loss (at least for me) I need someone saying,
"Hey fatty, get on that fricken treadmill and run dammit!" which would be the equivalent to,
"HEY LAZY BONES, GET YOUR ASS IN A CHAIR AND START WRITING DAMMIT!"
Get it? Anyways, the point of this post is to tell you that I think writers need to start paying attention to Chuck Wendig and look at the incredible fan base he's built. I just got his new book 500 Ways to be a Better Writer and it's amazing!
So if you're interested, I'd recommend checking this guy out. He's pretty much one of the coolest writers I've been following.
